Well....I'm on my way home now. Mom picked me up and we are staying in SLC tonight and then doing some shopping for "normal clothes" which....to me, normal clothes are those that most people wear on Sunday...but I'll be buying JEANS for the first time in 18 months tomorrow...wish me luck.
You can find me on facebook now, or email me at melodyannnelson@gmail.com
hope all is well,
Signing off.

Hello hello!
I am doing well...Still alive! Not getting a whole lot of mail, but thats ok! If Katie or Paul ever read this, just want to say CONGRATS! I hope your wedding goes well. Send me pictures ok?!
Things here are good. Summer is picking up. I gave tours to about 120 people this last week, so we are getting busier!
I am having good experiences and hopefully growing and learning from them. I have had about 6 different companions now, so I am really getting to know a lot of the sisters here! we have Sisters from all over the world. My companion now is from Japan, her name is Yuko Nakajima. Cool girl!
Alright all, I hope everyone is well. Leave me some comments and I'll hopefully read them within the next 6 months!

hah!
Someone DOES read my blog!
Well, this week, as you may have heard, the Prophet of the LDS church, Gordon B. Hinckley passed away on Sunday. I was among the first people to know, because we work closely with the Brethren of the church...I've never met President Hinckley, but in a way I felt as if I had lost a grandfather or a close friend. He truely was a man of God, and a disciple of Christ. It is an honor to be a missionary at this time. I know that President Hinckley was recieved into the Lord's presence to find peace and eternal life. I know that there is life after this life, and I find peace in that.
I hope you are all well..I just wanted to leave you with some words of the Prophet Gordon B Hinckley. This is the last testimony he gave at the General Conference in Oct. 2007- I love this talk- hope you enjoy it as well!!

Thanks for Reading- even if Jim is the only one who reads it! :-)
Oh, and to all of you at Bank of America---why is my voice still on the answering machine for ext. 4123? Are you just holding it for me for a year and a half?? :-D
Love you all!

Hello hello!!!
Ok I'm not sure if anyone reads this, but I want to appologize first of all for not writing more regularly!
Things here are good, but I only get one day off a week, and only 30 minutes computer use, so it is quite crazy!
Temple Square is amazing! I really do love being here, we get about 4,000,000 visitors a year from all different places in the world. Last night I gave a tour to a man from Germany who is living in China, and came to Salt Lake for a convention, and wanted to know what the temple was. It was really fun, he had lots of neat questions, and was really nice.
I hope Bank of America is well, just wanted to give a 'shout out' to my old associates...I miss you all!!!
Time really flies when your busy. I can't believe its almost been 3 months since I left (thats 1/6th of my mission!)
The other sisters that are serving here on Temple Sq. are pretty awesome. The other morning we had "Mattress Dominoes" in our apartment complex at 6:30am before we had to go to the Square. Everyone stood with their matress in the hallway, and someone pushed the first one, and we all went down with our mattresses! It was pretty fun to do, and then I had it recorded, so its pretty fun to watch as well :-)
Well, I'll try to write as often as I can, but no promises. I hope everyone is well...again, here is my address, I'm much better at writing letters:

Love you all!! Thanks for supporting me :)

Play by Play
Hello friendly readers of my blog!
Well, its been a few days, and I've been set apart as an official missionary! (for those of you who aren't familiar with that term, being "set apart" means that I had a blessing from the president of my stake and am now a missionary.
THe last few days have been filled with shopping for missionary clothes, traveling, and hugging a lot of relatives...
My grandmother's funeral was good- she will be missed, but she is with my Grandfather, and we are happy for them. The funeral was today, and after it was over, my parents, borther, sister, and I drove down to Utah, and thats where I am now.
Boy was it weird to cross that Utah State line and think that I woudnt be leaving again for another 18 months, but at the same time, I am really excited.
I can't even imagine how much my life will be changing in less than two days. Going out there to Salt Lake will answer a LOT of the questions I have been thinking of the last few months. Where I live, what I eat...all of it is a big mistery right now! Its exciting though.
Like I said in the last post, I'm going to the Missionary Training Center on Wednesday and I won't have internet access for 3 whole weeks, so don't be alarmed!
Hope all is well with everyone out there. If you want me to write, be sure to leave your addresses!

Last Day of work
Ok everyone,
So today was my last day at work! It feels like its a dream! I'm really leaving. There has been a slight change in plans, I was originally supposed to leave Oregon Friday morning, but my Grandmother passed away yesterday, so NOW my whole family is coming to Idaho with us.
JUST SO everyone knows, I'm going into the Missionary Training Center next Wednesday, and I won't have internet access for three weeks, so hold tight for my first post from Salt Lake, ok?!
I'll write some more before I go in, but right now its just kind of lame!
Thats all folks!
